Terms of Use
Last updated: September 11, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply to the website Donno.io (the "Site"). The Site is operated by the team behind Donno ("Donno", "we", "us", or "our"), based in Barcelona, Spain.
BY USING THE SITE IN ANY MANNER, YOU UNCONDITIONALLY CONSENT AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY AND BE A PARTY TO THESE TERMS OF USE AND THE PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOU DISAGREE WITH ANY OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS IN EITHER THESE TERMS OF USE OR THE PRIVACY POLICY, DO NOT USE THE SITE.
1. What the Site is
The Site helps you decide what to watch. You describe what you're in the mood for — a genre, a region, a time period, or a prompt like "a gritty 70s New York crime drama" — and the Site suggests films with the help of artificial intelligence and catalog data.
The Site is a discovery tool. We do not host, stream, or sell films. Information about where a film can be watched may be incomplete or out of date.
The Site is for personal, non-commercial use.
2. Who may use the Site
You must be 14 or older. That is the age from which, under Spanish data-protection law, a person may agree to the processing of their personal data.
You confirm that you will use the Site in line with these Terms and with applicable law.
3. How you may use the Site
You may use the Site to search and to receive recommendations for yourself.
You agree not to:
- use the Site for anything unlawful, or in a way that infringes other people's rights;
- copy, scrape, index, or systematically download the Site or its catalogs, or use the Site to build another website, dataset, or AI system;
- interfere with, overload, or try to bypass security or access limits;
- send malware, or try to access the Site other than through the interface we provide;
- impersonate anyone, or misrepresent who you are.
We may suspend or limit access if you break these rules, if the law requires it, or if we need to protect the Site or other users.
4. AI-generated recommendations
Recommendations and search results on the Site are generated with the help of AI and catalog data. We work to make suggestions relevant, but they can occasionally be incomplete, outdated, or wrong — for example, an incorrect year, cast, or where a film is available.
Recommendations are for information only. They do not guarantee that you will enjoy a film, and they are not a decision with legal or similarly significant effects about you.
5. Intellectual property
The Donno name, logo, design, software, and recommendation technology are owned by us or our licensors. You may use them only as needed to use the Site as offered.
Film titles, artwork, and metadata belong to their rights holders. They appear on the Site for informational, non-commercial discovery only.
6. Availability
We aim to keep the Site available, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or discontinue features.
You may stop using the Site at any time.
7. Privacy
How we process personal data — including data related to your visit — is explained in our Privacy Policy.
8. Third-party sites
The Site may link to other websites (for example, where a film can be watched). Those websites have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for them.
9. Disclaimers
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available," to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability or consumer rights that cannot be excluded or limited under EU or Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the mandatory rights of your country of residence.
10. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from your use of the Site or from an inability to use it.
This does not limit liability that the law does not allow us to limit, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. We will change the "Last updated" date and, if a change is material, give notice that is reasonable in the circumstances.
If you continue to use the Site after the update, you accept the new Terms. If you do not, stop using the Site.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain.
If you are an EU consumer, you also keep the mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence. You may bring a claim in the courts of Barcelona or in the courts of your place of residence, as EU rules on jurisdiction allow.
If you are not a consumer, the courts of Barcelona have exclusive jurisdiction.
